The following is a review of some of the most recent Molson Canadian advertising campaigns. Starting off, of course with the most popular of all, the “I Am Canadian” campaign.
Molson Canadian is not the greatest beer out there. It’s not even the greatest Canadian beer. In fact, in my opinion, it’s actually a pretty lousy beer. Yet, it’s appropriately named “Canadian”, which naturally gives them the opportunity to do some really great advertising work in relating to the rest of the country.

Here is a good spot by Midas, a Canadian auto shop that specializes in tires, brakes and repairs. It is a mock news report about a police chase in Canada. The commercial is about a year old, but it is still running. I remember how much I liked it last year, and saw it again recently and thought I’d post it here.
Not much can be said about the spot, it pretty much speaks for itself. Check it out below.

VideoEgg is a rich media advertising network that is pretty new in Canada. Like any rich media ad they start out pretty standard, but as users mouse-over, they expand, launching a branded skin that fills the screen. The expanded ad serves anything from video to a full micro-site, right within the ad.
